Formula 1’s grid is getting a major shake-up in 2026. In a massive move for the sport, Toyota is stepping up as the title sponsor for Haas, officially rebranding the American outfit as the TGR Haas F1 Team.

This isn't just a simple name change; it marks a significant deepening of the relationship between Haas and Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR). What started as a technical partnership in late 2024 has quickly evolved into a full-blown alliance. Toyota replaces MoneyGram in the title slot, signaling the Japanese automotive giant's serious recommitment to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Haas Team Principal Ayao Komatsu described the expanded deal as a "privilege," citing the success of their recent collaborative testing programs. However, the most telling sentiment came from Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda. Witnessing the growth of his young drivers and engineers within the project, he declared: "Toyota has finally begun to move – really move."

Fans won't have to wait long to see the new look. The team is set to unveil its fresh livery on January 23, 2026. Toyota is officially back in the race.
